She never ran with scissors

Virginia "Ginger" was born to William Scherer Denton of Lynchburg, Virginia and Christine Agnus Galantine of Des Moines, Iowa on November 18, 1950 in Denver Colorado. Ginger was the youngest sister of Joseph Bishop and Many Lou Ghyst.

In 1965 Ginger met the love of her life, David Ross Brown, and on on June 14th 1969, she married him. They went on to spend the next 19,495 days (53.5 years) together. During this time, Ginger gave birth to three loving, obnoxious, passionate boys: David Wesley, Matthew Grant, and William Noel Brown. Being as kind and loving as she was, she picked up another boy on the way, Christopher Macey.

Ginger attended cosmetology school while raising three young boys in the 80's, and went on to become an established beautician in the Denver area. She gave every child in the family their first haircuts. All her children and grandchildren remember her six to twelve hour hair sessions fondly. Ginger was never great with time, so all family outings were an all day affair, family dinner on Sunday always became dinner, dessert and a two hour long walk around the nearest store to window shop and spend time as a family. Eight hour trips to IKEA were her bread and butter.

Ginger was literally an ADHD addled ball of sunshine, everyone she met became her friend. She had a welcoming and accepting air about her, she always made people feel comfortable and secure. Ginger was a creative perfectionist, and had a deep love for photography, these two loves created an exceptional skill at photoshop. She traveled extensively across the US and internationally, admiring all the castles and many post offices, along the way. She loved to laugh and had a surprisingly dark sense of humor, likely brought on by time well-spent with David Brown during her formative years.

On October 28, 2022, Ginger lost her fight with ALS. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her Husband David Brown and three of her boys; Matthew, William and Chris, along with her nephew Tony.
